Our instructional DVD’s, as well as our Clinics, begin with a structured warm-up, our conditioning approach and a meditation/relaxation at the end. Many athletes don’t take the proper time to warm-up the body or cool it down.

Our combined techniques allow you to strengthen the diaphragm and intercostals allowing the body to take in more energy and send more blood, oxygen and Prana throughout your body. As the muscles and bones are recruited for the movement, there is more blood and oxygen and Prana available to parts of the body for functioning and proper form. The cool down prepares the body for its’ next workout and removes the toxins from the exercise.

The Rower

This DVD includes 2 separate CD’s. The first includes our supplemental training techniques specific to rowing. The 2nd is a strength training sequence that includes our breathing techniques and can be a compliment to your regular training workouts.

Track 1

- A structured warm-up of yoga stretches postures to stimulate blood flow into the muscles.
- Breathing exercises designed to activate the core of our bodies; a tremendous source of energy.
- Dynamic yogic breathing sequences designed for use on the Concept2 rowing machine, crew boat and/or lifeguard boat.
- Yoga postures designed to stretch and release the muscles after a vigorous workout as well as improve efficiency i.e., the rowing movement involves forward and backward flows. We focus on postures that twist & rotate the hips & thoracic regions.
- A guided relaxation and meditation.

Track 2

- Strength training routines using free weights and/or cable machines utilizing the ancient breathing techniques.
- Techniques to focus the mind in the present moment.
- Using weights and gravity to allow more oxygen to enter the major muscles groups of the body.
- Show the mind different “angles” that the body can move into to create more strength and flexibility and ultimately greater balance.
